That Time of Year Again!

Enter February 02 on your mobile calendar as the date to join us for our 9th Annual FlyBuy...the only event of its kind in the WORLD!

Part garage sale, part fly fishing university (at all levels of experience), full time fun! We have something for everyone including tying classes specifically for kids!!

For the price of admission, you get the chance to purchase tying material, lightly used fly fishing gear, learn from the masters of fly tying, sign up for casting lessons from the Council's finest casters and there will even be raffles and silent auctions of some great gear! And your admission includes LUNCH, cooked up by our Board Directors!!

The 73rd annual Fred Hall Show at the Long Beach Convention Center is the world’s largest sportfishing show, California’s largest boat show and an international leader in hunting and fishing travel.

Virtually all forms of outdoor recreation are represented at this enormous event, featuring: more fishing tackle manufacturer displays than any other show anywhere.

California’s largest marine accessories display, hundreds of fishing tackle booths, hundreds of international fishing and hunting travel booths, acres of boats, casting ponds, Hobie Kayak demonstration rides, hunter and angler specific vehicles, free dive and SCUBA diving equipment and instruction,air gun ranges, archery ranges, over 400 seminars and a full day’s worth of family fun activities.

Saturdays, March 23, 30 & April 6, 2019

Go from classroom instruction to hands on experience in three weeks! The first session will include instruction on gear, knots, fly selection and fishing location. The second session covers rigging your gear, casting techniques and learning to cast a fly. The final session will find you casting at Lake Casitas and nymph and dry fly fishing at a local stream. Additional $10 parking fee charged on last day.

Randy Weir and Earl Arnold have over 50 years of fly fishing experience and enjoy teaching others. Both instructors are members of Sespe Fly Fishers, and Randy has been guiding on the streams of Ventura County since 1994. (www.tightlinesguide. com).
